Sustainability is of utmost importance to us and we do everything we can to operate sustainably and minimise our impact on the environment.
Our collagen product is not only a market leader in terms of quality but also sustainability. We exclusively use a collagen which is from 100% sustainably caught wild ocean whitefish. Our fish come from the Atlantic ocean and are caught by fisheries which are independently certified by the MSC as sustainable. As the fisheries we work with all abide by the sustainability practises laid out by the MSC fish stocks are managed and their sustainability is not impacted. We vet and verify that every other ingredient we use in our collagen formulations and product lines is produced in an ethical and sustainable way.
Our objective is for our packaging to be as sustainable as possible by minimizing plastics, using recycled materials and using materials which can easily be recycled.
Our collagen cylinders are made of tin. We choose to use tin not only because it's 100% recyclable but because it can be recycled endlessly (unlike cardboard and plastics which can only be recycled a few times before they go into landfill). It may surprise you to know this but every year more steel is recycled than glass, paper, aluminum and plastic combined.
Our mailer boxes and sachet boxes are made of recycled cardboard and are recyclable. Our individual sachets have a layer of plastic in them which is essential for product safety to create a food safe seal. These can be recycled through recycling centers.
Sustainability is a key considering when choosing our shipping partners and we preference those who are taking steps to minimise their carbon footprint. We take steps in all aspects of our operations and sourcing to ensure that we minimise our impact on the environment, utilise sustainable processes and use sustainable products. Preserving our precious Earth is a responsibility we all have for the generations to come.
